DS tried to climb on me when I was nursing. I said he could sit next to me for a quiet cuddle as mich as he wanted or he could get down and play. If he didn't do either he got a warning and then a timeout for choosing to not listen. This was at 2. 3 is most definitely old enough that he probably knows exactly what he's doing. It's a bid for attention and if it doesn't work it should stop quickly. How about a basket of toys that are just for playing with during nursing time? Or if Dad is home they could play together in another room?

My older LO does this sometimes. I just tell her that I would love for her to cuddle with me while I'm feeding the baby but she must be gentle. If she wants to play rough she can play with daddy or by herself until I'm done feeding her brother.

My sister just had a baby last week and my nephew(3) is a very physical kid. Every time she tries to feed the baby he is climbing all over her and ends up pulling and pushing on the baby. Luckily he is in daycare during the week, but both mom and dad are going bonkers on the weekend.

I have little advice because my DD was only 2.5 when I had my DS. Also she is super gentle with her brother and always has been.

Any good tips that I could pass on?
