We use one for both overnight and nap for nearly 2.5 year old who still sleeps in crib. He's been using it for a couple of months, and we really like it. That said, I think success of the clock depends on setting realistic expectations (ie. while I'd love for my kid to sleep until 7:20 every morning... I let the clock turn green at 6:45; while I'd love for him to take 3 hour naps, I set it for a little less than 2 hours).

The best part of the clock for us is that LO is really proud of himself when he sleeps until the light turns green so he wakes up very happy (which is huge in this household since he's always woken up grumpy, and typically screaming).

As far as clock success of staying in crib until green... if he wakes up in the morning and the light isn't green, he'll typically go back to sleep or talk to himself until it turns green. At nap time, it's more split 40/30/30. 40% of the time he sleeps until the light turns green. 30% if he wakes up early, he may lay down and go back to sleep... but 30% he might be so pissed that he woke up that he just starts screaming.

If you use an OK to Wake clock or similar toddler clock, do you use it just for overnight/ mornings, or do you use it for nap too?

We are getting one soon and I'm really hoping it helps morning wake ups. Naps can be unpredictable but I can't see her abiding by it when she wakes up early.
