Last weekend LO was having a hard time sleeping due to cough too (up three times a night from coughing fits). I don't know why this worked, but I gave her tylenol. And she slept all night.

I put a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the cool mist humidifier and put Vicks (maty's all natural vapor rub) on the bottom of her feet.

C is 18 months and has had a cold and cough for several days. Nothing awful, but the cough is waking her up, which makes for tired mom and baby!

I have a humidifier running (a cheapie one, but her room is also pretty small), try to get her to drink a lot of water during the day but she isn't drinking a ton, saline drops in her nose, and I've been giving a spoonful of honey before bed. I have been slightly limiting dairy, but it's tough since it's one of her primary things she eats.

Her runny nose is getting better so I hope the cough gets better soon too. In the meantime, any other recommendations to sooth the cough while she sleeps? It's sort of phlegmy now too.
