We're going to put Annie's gummy bunnies in some and change in a couple of others. She loves change right now. :)

@Cole: YES! We spent almost an hour yesterday emptying her piggy bank and having her put the change back in, about 4-5 times (she's 20 months).

We're doing stickers and coins and maybe some food snacks (puffs, Cheerios, M&Ms, raisins).

Not sure what we're putting in our eggs yet but need to find some non-food fillers for DD's preschool egg hunt.

@locavore_mama: Oh okay, I thought you just wanted fillers for eggs that go in a basket.

I was just in target, they had larger eggs, i am not sure if they were metal or paper? But they were about the size of my hand, so that increases your options for fillers.

If you're past the point where they put everything in their mouth change can be fun if they have a piggy bank. Depositing change in a bank is loads of fun with the two year old set. Crayon rocks are good too and would fit better than crayons.

@Sapphiresun: @looch: DH grew up with his dad hiding hard boiled eggs in the weirdest places. In a lamp instead of the light bulb, on a ceiling fan blade etc when they're older. So it's a tradition we want to continue. :) But for now since she's so young we're doing plastic eggs.

@beaker: LOL! At LO's first Easter she was barely 1. I filled them with puffs and we hid them around the house. She was so excited when she cracked the eggs and found puffs!

Stickers!!

If your kids are old enough, some mini-figures of their favorite things? L has some My Little Pony baby figures that would fit in an egg.

Although, I'm being a bad Aunt this year and giving my niece and nephew candy in their eggs. ;)

What is she in to? Can you get a puzzle and the huge plastic eggs and put a piece of the puzzle in each egg? Or just forget the eggs and get egg shaped chalk or the playdough in the eggs?

There's not one piece of candy or food in my son's basket, it's all stuff that he's into, like bath crayons, bath fizzies, a few die cast cars, bath bubbles, etc.

@birdofafeather: well, crap. I've seen the plastic ones before, but Easter was only ever hiding actual hard boiled eggs for the hunt. Treats just came in your Easter basket.

I already bought her an Easter sticker book, but I'm not really sure what else. I was supposed to get her sandbox friendly toy cars, but we ended finding some at a flea market.

I wanted to get her a huge paper egg but have no idea what to put into it, so I think we'll just reuse a normal (6") one. But even with that, I'm stumped on what to put in it.

What are you filling your toddler's Easter egg with?

I'm thinking just cheerios, craisins and maybe stickers. Although I already got her a sticker book. Lol

There are so many great ideas online but some are too old for her such as mini erasers.
