Glad to hear it's likely nothing too serious! Before I got to your update I was going to say that if they can be moved around that's a good sign. I actually had a larger but similar sounding issue on the outside of my hip that totally freaked me out, but it was just a harmless cyst. I got it removed and that was that. The doc at the time told me movement is good :-)

@Alivoo01: Haha! Hopefully no one saw that :silly: I hope it's the weather too - I like to blame it for everything else anyway

@skipra: So weird - I never knew we had lymph nodes there. Kids sure love throwing us for surprises... She has had some cradle cap pop up again, I wonder if it's any coincidence to those lymph nodes?

I was going to say it sounds like lymph nodes. Both of my boys had them behind their ears as babies and the doctor said it's no big deal. Probably just because of a skin issue, like caused by cradle cap for them. I don't know about by the hip though, maybe diaper irritation?

@swurlygurl: I'm at work and totally just felt for my lymph nodes in my hip joint. hahaha *facepalm* Meanwhile, hopefully it's just the warmer weather that's causing them to be inflammed temporarily!

And, anyone else going through this in the future - don't google those lymph nodes! Because now L either has herpes or cancer... :meh:

@Alivoo01: Thanks!!

Just got a call back, they think it's swollen lymph nodes - apparently there are 3 on the hip bone. This picture is showing them exactly. Now the only question is *why* they're swollen. Just supposed to monitor them, make sure they don't get any larger, aren't hot to the touch, and stay freely moving.

I'm generally pretty laid back about the need for Dr visits, but this one is freaking me out - waiting for a call back from L's Ped.

Monday night I noticed L was kind of limping - it was hard to tell. She's a weird kid and she had a particularly bulky CD on.
Last night it looked like she was definitely limping - no idea why. Called her daycare provider to see if she noticed it, and she said she thought so, but again mentioned that L is kind of goofy so she couldn't be sure. At this point I'm now pretty positive that she is limping. But, why??
This morning, I'm changing her diaper, and on her hip bone I notice 3 small *things* on her hip bone (under her skin) that are moving around. Kind of pea-sized, but jagged and not uniform in shape. Bone, cartilage, pockets of fluid?!?! I have no idea. They were moving around freely, and didn't appear to cause L any pain at all. I called DH in to take a look too, and he agreed that it's weird. L finally started to fuss at us, but we had been poking her and leaving her on the changing pad for a long time!

Anyone ever notice anything like this? Google is useless and I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from her Dr! If she had been in any sort of pain (or had a fever or other symptom) I would have taken her right in, but she seems totally fine besides the small limp and random objects on her hip bone :sad: :crying:
