Right there with you!

Have you tried giving ibuprofen or something an hour or so before dinner? Try and take the edge off so he can eat? Maybe for a few days offer soft foods (especially favorite ones) for dinner?

We had a night like this where absolutely nothing would calm her down (she was cutting canines). Same thing happened that she ate very little dinner and then was screaming for nearly a half an hour and I tried everything I could think of (cuddles, nursing, singing, reading book). Finally, I took her out of her room and she pointed to her highchair and told me she needed a snack. I fed her a pouch that I had on hand and could grab in the dark. She sucked it down and went right back to sleep.

While, yes, feeding your child food in the middle of the night maybe shouldn't be a habit....you feed your kid if they are hungry. Thinking of you! Hang in there, teeth have to all cut through eventually ;)

oh that's awful. I would say applesauce pouch and milk before bed? So tricky to know what to do...

R has days when teething (working on molars now) that she won't eat much either. After bath, I offer a pouch and then some milk. She usually sleeps all night but wakes up hungry and cranky.

So lo is getting some molars and has been refusing to eat his dinner. He is typically a good eater, but the last 3-4 days have been rough. He is waking up between 3 and 4 STARVING!

What do you do? We have tried giving him a bottle of milk, but it doesn't seem to be enough. Yesterday he started his day at 4am because when he finished his 6 ounces of milk (we never give him more than 4 at a time typically) he screamed and screamed for the bottle...so we got him up and gave him breakfast (which he inhaled). He did the same thing this morning, although we managed to get him to calmly stay in his crib until 5 after a bottle at 4 (although I don't think he went back to sleep).

Any suggestions? My ped told me not to feed him in the middle of the night, but what is the alternative? Letting him scream in agony? It doesn't seem fair to do that to him... :(
