I don't know since I have one child but maybe she is looking for more attention? It can't be easy but maybe give her more special one-on-one time during the day or at bedtime to put her in a relaxed state?

Yikes! Sorry to hear your LO's waking up so many times during the night.. :T I have no advice, but I'm going subscribe to this thread! I have an almost 1 year old who wakes and cries in 1-3 times during the night if she wakes and she sees that I'm not lying next to her. :P

My 2 year old daughter has been acting out and waking up at night since her baby sister was born a couple months ago. She doesn't show any jealousy or hostility towards the baby, but the timing of it makes us believe that it's probably related to the newborn.

She's always been a great sleeper. At first, my husband and I would go to her whenever she cried out for us. And it would just take a min or so to get her back down. However, it was happening more and more frequently. We've tried to ignore her (it doesn't really work, she just gets hysterical), go in and sooth her, talk to her about it during the day after the fact and nothing has worked. This week's the worse b/c she's been crying 3-4 times each night and we're all exhausted. Any ideas on how to handle this night waking?
