How old is he? I know I had something like this happen with Mavrick. So I started teaching him to hold his own utensils and feeding himself. (Watch out for a mess)

@Boogs: I think that's pretty typical... Just like Lala asking for more applesauce and then just wanting to play in it.

I put the food into his snack cup and he can carry it around and eat.

@Mrs. Jacks: Thank you, I just read it and it was very helpful! I'll definitely keep the fist rule in mind. I guess I just started worrying because he would sign more, but when I fed him he wouldn't eat.

@Boogs: I think babies hit toddlerhood and are too busy to eat. We try to offer lots of options and not focus on it. As long as he's tracking along his growth curve, you should be fine. Don't know if my toddler eating post might contain something helpful for you.

@Mrs. Bee: Good one, maybe I'll see if I can interest my sister and her kids in some lunch out tomorrow! Thanks!

He is probably too busy working on walking to want to eat. He will probably come around, another trick that usually works is eating out or around other kids. We used to feed Charlie dinner at the playground,

@Mrs. Bee: Ugh, he probably is. He is finally walking, so maybe he's thinking he's a big man on campus now. I hadn't thought about it before, but the two events pretty much coincided.

I've also tried some bento tricks, but I'm in need of more bento supplies to hopefully make things more appealing.

Maybe he is just asserting his independence. Have you tried and bento style tricks?

My LO used to be a great eater. Now, literally overnight, he refuses to eat. I don't know what to do, but don't want him to starve.

Has this happened to you? What did you do?
