@Mrs Checkers: Yes, it does stink that the footed ones get outgrown SO quickly! It feels like every month we are moving up in size!

Those without footed pjs and no sleep sack, even if its summer time and warm, do you put socks on them to bed? She has a blanket but it never stays on her feet, I feel like bare feet would get so cold!

@HeatherlovesKenny: Good thing most kids don't do the other business in the middle of the night. Well, mine did one time at 3am. Hope that was the last! LOL!

My son hates the feet part so we used to cut them off. He hated how slippery they were on the hardwood floor so he used to complain about those. Now he just wears an organic top/bottom set with a thin tank top underneath (so that his stomach doesn't get exposed during the night).

@erwoo: Yes! Being done with diapers is so nice! He stands up to go potty usually so it was easy for him to un-zip them and go. For other "business" he would actually take off his footie pajamas entirely, go, then ask for help to put them back on. That is a bit more difficult but not enough to give up those types of pj's.

Like Mrs. Bee and Mrs. High Heels we stopped around 9 months too. We use a sleep sack so I wasn't too worried about her feet getting cold, and we also liked the 2-piece ones better because 1) they're easier to get on and off and 2) I feel like she can wear the 2-piece ones a bit longer than footie pajamas.

@Skibobrown - If we lived somewhere we actually experienced colder temps, I would probably use footie pajamas too! But in Southern California, it was just 90+ degrees here this past weekend, and year round I don't think the temps in our house ever drop below 70 degrees.

@HeatherlovesKenny: Wow, that's awesome that he's potty trained at night already! I can't wait for that b/c then we'll be pretty much done with diapers/pull ups at night. Does he have a hard time taking off the footie pjs though?

Our daughter (7 months) wears a long sleeved onesie, footed PJs, and a sleepsack to bed. It's chilly in our house at night! I was setting the heat down to 62 degrees at night, but poor baby's hands were like ice in the morning, so now I'm keeping it at 65 degrees. I'm curious how all of you are doing without footed PJs and sleep sacks in the winter...

We stopped them when she outgrew her 6-9 month ones... she's been wearing the Old Navy two-piece PJ's and a sleep sack for awhile now - she's 22 months. I agree with @Pelikila... every baby is different so if it works for you guys why not continue?

My 3 y.o. still likes his footed PJs so I let him wear it. He's potty trained during the day time but not overnight; but my goal one of these days is to get him to go to the bathroom by himself at night. Then he won't be able to wear his footed PJs. I do like that it covers his feet b/c he kicks off his blanket all the time.

How do you guys do a sleep sack with a crawling/walking baby? I don't see how that works. Mine won't keep a blanket on, so she needs feet or socks, at least, and a warm top. I'm looking forward to her using a blanket and not having to worry about keeping her warm.

We are in a mix of footed sleepers and 2 piece pjs at 13 month. LO doesn't mind the footed ones at all and it works for us. I don't use sleep sacks on him because it's not that cold here in tx but it makes me feel like he is still warm enough if he tosses of his muslin blanket.

My lo is 15 months and sleeps in just a sleep sack. It's hot here and the sleep sack prevents her limbs from getting caught in the crib. When it's cooler we'll put a long sleeve shirt under it.

I do have some footie PJ's she wears when traveling, we don't have to worry about her getting caught in her pack n play. She just wore them last weekend camping, it was pretty cold out so I'm glad she had them!

Personally I think footies are too cute and shell wear them as long as possible.

Every kid is different. We stopped footed sleepers when my son outgrew the 6-9 month size clothes because the footed sleepers I could find in the 12 Month size were poor quality, zippers instead of snaps, etc so I switched to pants and shirts. If you've got something that works for you, why change it?

We took my LO over to a friends house late last night so she was in her pajamas. She's 14 months old and still in footed sleepers.y friend said that by this age her daughter couldn't stand then and was in regular Jammie's. I like the footed ones because it keeps her covered at night since we don't use a sleep sack anymore.

What does your toddler wear to bed? When did you stop the footed sleepers?
