It was a sheep that flattened out into a pillow. I used to put a pillowcase over it because the 'wool' on the sheep used to make him sweat. Then we switched to a standard pillow when we switched to toddler rails. Around age two he got a long body pillow for his twin bed. </p> <p>DD still doesn't have a pillow but that's because she's still a wild sleeper.
