@yellowbird: my doctor said it's seriously going around right now. It's my LOs first time! Apparently Coxsackie is going around our area now too, so I guess it could be worse?

@yellowbird: with the fever, I'd get it checked out. It's so hard when they can't verbalize what they feel. Keep is posted.

@Smurfette: that's what I'm thinking. I called the pediatrician. Can that cause stomach pains?

My toddler has been complaining a lot about it too. I started to think about if any specific food items triggered it and it didn't. We asked her ped at her 3 year check up and he said it's very common at this age because they don't know how to distinguish stomach pains like gas, hunger, indigestion, etc . So everything is my tummy hurts.

@Mamasig: my daughter always tells me when she's hungry. She also eats like crazy, so sometimes I do think it's because she east too much. But today she's complained 3 times. Once before breakfast, once after she ate her oatmeal but was playing for a while. Then again we were playing and she said soooo sadly that her tummy hurts again!

My 2.5 year old has been saying that too for a few weeks. I think it's a combo of needing to go to the bathroom and hunger pains. He doesn't know yet to say I'm hungry so he says it hurts. I also think it's just a phase. If he were truly in real pain I feel like it would be more constant and not just whining.

My daughter had a stomach virus back in March. She was sick for about a week throwing up. Ever since then she has complained almost every day that her tummy hurts. At first I thought she was just more aware when she had to #2 because she was scared she was going to throw up too.

At this point it's been going on so long I'm thinking she needs checked out? She poops every day, no throwing up, her stomach is soft and doesn't hurt when I press on it. I'm not sure what it could be :(
