@Foodnerd81: they have a thick wool bootie liner that is removable. She's worn them without the lining for just rain. They're definitely heavier than rubber wellies but she hasn't complained. I probably wouldn't put her in them if it was over 65 maybe?

@Foodnerd81: Not sure about the shopping options in your area, but I got them at a discount sporting goods store in the Bay Area called Sports Basement. Looks like 6pm.com might have some, depending on size.

I got these from Joe Fresh: https://www.joefresh.com/ca/Categories/Toddler-Boy/Shoes-Boots/Toddler-Boys’-3D-Detail-Rain-Boots/p/TBF6FW3193_400

They have fake fur inside to make them warmer than regular ones.

@JerricaBenton: they aren't too warm for fall/ spring rainy days? Up until now I've just had her wear winter boots (hand me down Sorels) in the rain but now preschool plays outside almost every day and I think her feet would be too hot.

@oliviaoblivia: @NorCalWayfarer: ok thanks. I'm thinking I'd rather get the -10 for most of the year. Most likely we won't play outside in the snow for all that long anyway- a 3 year old and an almost 1 year old probably wouldn't last that long no matter how warm their boots are. And if we have an awful winter I will deal with it then. But expensive...

We got ll bean boots for lo. They're waterproof so they do double duty for rain and snow.

ETA I believe they're the Northwoods ones.

There are -10 ones and -30 ones. We have the -30 and they're perfect for winter. We have separate rainboots (hunters) because they're too warm for rain. The -10 would be what you're looking for.

Are there any toddler boots that can work as rain boots but also work in somewhat cold wintery weather- like not necessarily good enough for a blizzard but good enough for some slush and ice? Or just recommend rain boots that you like. Cheap is good but if they can do double duty I don't mind paying a little more. We live in New England so we may have a mild winter with just a few storms, or we may have 100" inches of snow.
