We have been dealing with this today. My 16.5 month old refused her early nap and then refused her afternoon nap. She was so grumpy by 3pm. Then she fell asleep in her pushchair at 4pm and we had to wake her to make sure she would sleep tonight. She was soooo sad about that!

I hope you get some good advice!

DS (28 mo) has started to refuse to nap on weekends. I WOH and he sleeps at daycare for 2 hours but will not on the weekend. I try to stick to the daycare schedule so his natural clock is ready for sleep. Today he was exhausted and yawning at noon but when I put him down, he just plays, reads books, etc. It ruins the rest of the day because he is so tired and grumpy. We do a gymnastics class on saturday mornings which should help get him tired. I have a loud fan in his room to block background noise. I try for hours to get him to sleep to no avail. I am at my wits end with it! It basically ruins the weekend because he is so grumpy we can't really do anything fun except in the mornings. Anyone experience this? Suggestions to help him sleep?
