White noise app as loud as possible through the car speakers. Yeah it's obnoxious but it worked for us. Last night we just sang kiddy songs the whole drive home.

Aww good job mama! If I find a song that my kid likes that she is zoning out too I click repeat and make it play a gazillion times in a row until she's out. Also rolling down windows and turning on fans creates tones of white noise to knock her out. :)

I'm going to have to save this for later. Good to know. Hope it works for me if I need it.

When your LO no longer takes a bottle or pacifier and rockabye baby lullabies aren't working. Or Web end the elusive and dangerous car bfing session didn't work. Try this.

Put your head over their head, your one arm underneath their back and just give some warmth and start shushing. Almost like you're hugging them.

After about almost an hour of crying / whining this put my 16 month old instantly to sleep.

What other "out of the box" tactics have worked for you to get a toddler to sleep in the car during a long road trip?
