My son has already trashed the sneakers I bought him 2 months ago. However, last year I bought nice rain boots and Sorels for winter one size up and he still fits in both of them this year. I bought my daughter a pair of rain boots that were a little big and she could barely walk in them. My husband and I joked we were going to make her wear them all the time just to slow her down and give us a break:) But I just bought her some Uggs in a 7, bc there are no half sizes and she's a 6 or 6.5 now, and she walks perfect in them even though they are a little big.</p> <p>Other than that, I don't think there are any negative effects from wearing shoes a little big. It means the shoes are a little big on her in the beginning but she gets at least 2 more months of wear out of them. Wondering if there are any drawbacks to putting her in slightly too big shoes? </p>
