Our doctor and I believe my LO gets occasional night terrors, when it happens it is like we are not even there trying to comfort her. I've definitely noticed it happening more when she is overtired or has had a lot of sleep disruptions, perhaps that could be why they would start after she got sick.

My LO (19 months) has done that in the past, and our ped said it sounded like night terrors. Sometimes he's even stood up but had no idea what was going on. It's seemed to go away a bit but was crazy when it happened.

Wow. My toddler does something similar and still does at age 4 but can call out to us. It's a bit odd it started with the HFM though.

So kiddo was diagnosed with hand foot mouth on Thursday, and since Friday night, she's waking up every hour (nighttime and naptime) crying hysterically, completely inconsolable. She rolls around the crib, won't come up to us, won't take a paci. All I can do is put her blankie on, rub her back and she falls asleep 5-10 minutes later. I'm not sure if we have sleep terrors on our hands, or if this is a weird phase. We've never seen this before, and she seems to be back to normal with eating and everything but the crying is going for 3 days now. Anyone have any ideas? She's 29 months.
