I'm sorry.. we are going through sleep issues too (DS is 27 months old).. these are not great solutions, just coping methods, that we are doing right now. We usually let him cry, and sometimes he puts himself back to sleep within 5 minutes. However, if we just can't take it or he is sick, we have set up a twin mattress in his room (which will eventually be his bed after we get out of the crib) and we go in there and sleep on it (and that stops the crying immediately). I'm sorry, no great answers here but I feel your pain.

Oh that sounds rough, Im sorry :( We had LO stay with grandparents for a couple weekends and she got used to getting her back rubbed to sleep. Once she got home, she expected it and it took a few nights to get her off that routine. She FLIPPED out when we would not rub her back. But long story short, we made her cry it out. I know its not the same as when they are sick :( maybe you can do a gradual sleep train, like keeping her in her bed and comforting her until she fell asleep. I dont know but I hope things turn around soon.

DD used to STTN from around 13 months until 20 months (7:30pm-7:30am). But, after she had an awful cough/cold that lasted almost 3 weeks, she's been going to bed later, waking once a night and earlier in the mornings, and won't go back to sleep unless we pick her up and hold her for a couple min.

She will call out which parent she wants (usually me), and if other parent comes, she *flips out*, refuses either parent (but throw a bigger tantrum if we leave) and will take 45 min to calm down and get back to sleep. So, we make sure that only the parent she wants comes.

I was thinking of sleep training her, but she's so much more aware than she was at 7 months (when we did it the first time), and I'm afraid she'll make herself sick if we just let her cry it out.

I'm 5.5 months pregnant, sleep deprived and exhausted. (I'm already waking 3-4x/night to pee) Please help me get her back to sleep.

**By "flips out" I mean that she will throw massive tantrums in which she... convulses(? best way to describe it, but she's not having a seizure)... and screams at the top of her lungs. I really should get video of it - I swear it looks like an exorcism. :-(
