@fuzzypeaches: I'm bumping this and wondering if you've had any success restarting naps? My 19 month old hasn't been napping for about a week. I have a newborn and I'm going crazy!

@Kemma: @blackbird: yes he is still in the crib!
He cried as soon as he gets into the crib and can cry for an hour!
Cry it out totally worked at night but hasn't been as effective for day :s

Do you out them down at the same time everyday? Or wait for them to be tired?

E tried this a few times-life was so much more fun with us. I just started setting her down, telling her to take a nap, turning on the white noise, and leaving her. Eventually she figured out I wasn't gonna let her skip.

Is he still in the crib? If so, then I would go through your usual nap routine and just pop him into bed and leave him there till he starts to get ratty. It sometimes takes my LO almost an hour to go to sleep but even if she doesn't she's still having some down time.

My other suggestion would be to try a slightly later nap.

I have a 16 month old and he has suddenly started refusing naps. I thought maybe it was a phase, but now it's been 2 weeks and in freaking out that this is forever!

He sleeps 6:30pm-5:30/6am
And used to nap 12-2pm

He still uses a bottle to sleep which I know is terrible but I haven't had to really attack it yet. Do you this that's the problem? What do I do? He's totally exhausted and cranky and I'm pregnant and it's terrible.

Any advice is welcomed. Even if it's the awful idea of bottle weaning :s
