My LO went through this too at 2 years 8 months. For us it took a couple of months and even now he still wakes up some nights. I read there's a 2.5-3 year regression. He kept wanting to come into our bed and sleep with us so put a baby gate at his room door and let him cry it out. Then after the sleep issue was somewhat resolved, he started wetting his bed 2-5x a week (that's right... I was washing his sheets daily). It was a tough couple of months but know you're not the only one going through it! Some nights he's able to cry a little and then fall asleep but the times he cried really hard and for a long time, one of us would go in and calm him down because we realized he needed to be calm before being able to sleep. We also talked to him about sleeping in his own bed and fun things to look forward to the next day so that's why he needed to sleep and get his rest. Hopefully this doesn't last too long for you!

Right there with you and I can't figure it out either. My awesome sleeper suddenly wants nothing to do with sleep. Pretty sure our LOs are right around the same age too (Sept '12?). I asked the doctor to check molars but they are all in so that's not it Hopefully a very short phase.

@Bao: I'm at my wits end. From what I can tell, it's a raging case of separation anxiety.

I was gonna say molars too. Or getting ready to drop her nap or something? That is, if she's still napping.

I'm in it now...and I have no idea why. It's awful. We got her the clock that turns green when it's okay to get out of bed but it is not really helping.

My 2.5 year old has been waking up 2-3 times a night every night for the past couple of weeks now. I have NO idea why but she wakes up sometimes crying sometimes not but comes into our room. I bring her right back into bed but it gets exhausting since I just got my one year old to STTN! I thought I would get some sleep finally...

Did anyones LO go through a phase like this? How long did it last?
