@Cherrybee: We tried duct tape last night and went in to check before we went to bed and found her nappyless wearing a duct tape belt and she had wee'd. Glad the sleepers are working for you!

Update. She learned to escape from the duct taped nappy the following night! So we tried putting zip-up sleep suits on backwards and it has done the trick! Three nights running now, her nappy has stayed on. She cant get out of them! Hurrah!

@Cherrybee: Yes again to duct tape. Do one piece that starts in the back and goes all the way around leaving a several fingers wide gap between the ends at the back so the diaper can still be flexible in the waist.

Right - tonight's shopping list: Footless zipper sleepers and duct tape! Then if that doesn't work, cloth nappy covers. This child will stay dry!

My friend has a 2 year old boy who likes to take off his diaper and potty all over the house. Fun times. She tapes the diaper with painters tape which is like masking tape. He actually asked for it once, haha. A sleep sack backwards might help too!

Would you be opposed to putting a cloth diaper cover over her disposable diaper? The ones with snaps are a B to get off, even for me (the adult), so it might help keep it on. I also like gDiapers covers because they fasten in the back, but the aplix gets kind of worn after awhile and gets easy to pull off.

@Cherrybee: People have mentioned both of these, but my SIL had this problem with my nephew and had success with both duct taping the diaper so that he couldn't get it off and turning the pajamas around backwards (she would cut the feet off). I'm not sure if they used both of these ideas at the same time, but I remember them both.

my friend was having this issue with their twins. they wrapped duct tape around the waist of the diaper, like a duct tape belt, if you will. i don't know if that sounds cruel (i didn't think it did), but it worked.

My friend's LO also did this and it was no fun! She may have even come into poop on the walls one early morning. Yuck!
You mentioned it already, but what worked for her was using duct tape around her diaper every night. I saw her do it once and that thing was on really well and then they just cut it off in the morning. Good luck!

I think she's peeing in her sleep. The nappy comes off for entertainment purposes, then she falls back to sleep and pees all over the bed. I think.

@cherrybee: not fun. not fun at all. HALO makes a sleeper for toddler that is loose, making me think it could easily be turned around backwards. They call it their big kid wearable blanket.

I know someone who resorted to duct tape b/c her child was into playing with poop. She would smear it everywhere. (Ugh--this is hard to type while I'm drinking coffee!)

@Cherrybee: if you've got one that is kind of grotty, you can cut the feet off to try it out before buying new ones.

I've never tried it but would also imagine you might want to size up to allow wiggle room, since the fit will be a little weird.

Have you tried putting the pjs (zipper or poppers, but zipper might be trickier for her) on backwards?

If the pull up works but leaks, maybe size up and put it on over her nappy? It's pricey to use two, I know, but better than wet sheets!
