He loved it like candy. We tried the drops but he hated them and since we were giving iron twice a day we had asked for some other options. </p> <p>Do you need to do iron at a higher does or just as an added supplement? Now that we aren't giving as much iron as before, we occasionally use the Baby Toddler Multi Powder from the Honest Co. It has 8 mg iron per packet. Pretty badly actually--and it WAS noticeable because it was her front two teeth. People kept pointing it out to me like I wasn't aware...grr. Anyway, I ended up taking my 12 month old (at the time) for a cleaning. The dentist said it was just cosmetic, but I was like, I don't care! Clean it anyway! </p> <p>haha.</p> <p>Anyway. So smelly and it stains everything and my kids hated it from day 1 ( I attempted to give it as an infant, toddler, etc) and just threw out 2 full bottles that expired. We do centrum kids chewables, which have iron. We use the clear drops and he still has stains on his teeth, though they aren't as bad as when we used the darker stuff. But the dentist reassured me that it will go away and it won't affect his permanent teeth. It does stain his teeth but it isn't too bad. I did notice that the staining went away when I stopped giving him his drops (bad momma, we ran out and it took awhile for me to remember to get more). Enfamil has a version, but there are tons of generics too.
