@blackbird: Hmm, I wonder! The rest of his skin doesn't seem overly dry, so I'm not sure. Probably doesn't hurt to add use some vaseline though over the winter to be on the safe side! Thanks for that idea.

Could his penis be exasperated by dry skin? I mean, my hands are cracking!

@Applesandbananas: @Mrs. Polish: @Ra: Thank you ladies!!! It's one thing when you're the one who's doing the pulling and you're expecting to see things like that and quite another when it's out of the blue!! Glad to hear it was never a concern for anyone's peds. I feel better! <3

DH pulls it back and puts Vaseline on it a few times a week because he noticed it once and thought it looked uncomfortable.

His ped didn't seen concerned.

@Mrs. Polish: Thank you!!!

I know that in the past (when he was really little), the skin seemed to be trying to reattach and we had to separate it and then it was red and raw like this and it wasn't an issue. But I hadn't seen any signs of reattachment occurring, so this was a surprise. Glad to hear your pediatrician wasn't concerned at all!

After Xander's bath tonight, I was putting on his diaper, and like I always do, I push the skin back off the head of his penis, but when I did, I noticed that part of his penis where he was circumcised is bright red and maybe bleeding?? I didn't really notice any blood, but it definitely looked open and sore. I mentioned it to Hubs and he said he noticed it this morning but neither of us noticed it yesterday at all (I may not have changed any diapers yesterday...).

Has anyone ever noticed this? He doesn't seem in pain at all and I just put some vaseline on it and put his diaper on, similar to what we did when he was first circumcised. Any advice?
