When my LO had her tongue and lip ties clipped around 2.5 months, she wasn't really using a pacifier at that time (because I was trying really hard to get her to breastfeed and having issues doing that, and my LC has said to stay away from pacis and bottles). But eventually when I switched to EPing and bottlefeeding, I did start offering a paci....she didn't get into it until around 6 months, but then she really loved it!

We used the Mam brand--just because she was already 6 months and the soothers were for newborns.

So, Sweet P had her tongue and lip tie procedure done 2 weeks ago. Since then she has refused the pacifier. :/

She had liked pacifiers every since her time in the NICU, although she couldn't keep those big green ones in her mouth and spit them out all the time. Just one week before her tongue tie procedure we tried the Tommy Tippee pacifiers and she COULD keep them in her mouth and were so helpful for self-soothing, which she definitely needs help with! She will let me put the Tommy Tippee one in her mouth and she plays with it a bit but won't suck it. I'm wondering if maybe we need to try other brands again?

Anyway, a few questions-

1. If your child had the tongue tie procedure done, did they ever take a pacifier again? If so, how long did it take?

2. Did you use the same pacifiers you did before or did you have to use a new brand? If so, which brand did you use?
