Ditto re: saline drops. Also, I rub Baby Vicks on my infant/toddlers feet and put socks over them. It seems to help quite a bit with cough/congestion. Just make sure it's the baby version and not the regular version.

We got through the night, poor little guy! I will try the saline spray/drops! Hopefully that helps! We are flying to Florida on Saturday morning. I'm so worried about it as he is so congested, I've flown while congested and it's so painful. We will saline spray and nose freida a bunch before we go. There isn't anything you can give babies to help with the congestion is there? I'm normally not into medication if not totally needed, but this seems like a situation where it would really help. Any ideas for flying?

Do you have saline drops? Saline can help break up the mucus so you can get more out with the nose frida. Also try putting a towel under one end of the mattress so he's slightly inclined. It will help with drainage.

Did you do saline spray before the nose Frida? My 2 month old wakes up during the night all stuffy and the saline spray then nose Frida helps. It's so sad when they can't breath well!

DS is almost 8 months and just today has had a snotty, runny nose. Tonight he nursed down to sleep and woke up 2 hours later(this is normal for him) but when I went in to nurse him again, he pulled off gasping for breath, he's so congested he can't sleep. We have tried latching back on a number of times, and it's not working for him.

We have the humidifier going and also hung out in a steamy bathroom for a while. Nose Frieda doesn't seem to get much, it's all really stuck up there.

He's tired and feeling crummy and wants to nurse but can't. Any other suggestions? Should I be worried about his inability to breathe through his nose?
