I'd use it and agree with other to just smell/taste it beforehand!

Thanks all! I think I'll cook with the stuff closest to 10 mo old (gah) and everything else is closer to 6 mo so I'll do that on a case by case basis.

I can't imagine it being harmful, just maybe have some freezer burn or degradation of nutrients. I would probably use it but mix about 50-50 with fresh milk, if it is closer to the 6 month point rather than the 12 month point.

I'd thaw it and smell/taste it and if it smells/tastes okay, use it! I hate wasting milk if I don't have to.

I would probably use it. Thaw and smell it to see if it smells okay. Baby won't take it if it doesn't anyways! You said just over 6 months so it's not like it's 11 1/2 months? Maybe check http://www.kellymom.com as well?

I'm no expert, but could you thaw a small one and taste it, see if it still seems good? It does seem like cooking with it would be a good compromise but hopefully others can chime in.

So I mismanaged my frozen stash (another post to come!). I have about 20-30 oz of milk that's over 6 mo frozen (not in a chest freezer, just the attached) but less than a year. Would you toss it? I was thinking of using it in cooking (baby pancakes) as a compromise. Or would you just use it as normal?
