I was taking care of my niece and nephew for a few years during their first loose tooth years. At a family get together, the kids would discuss their tooth fairy money with other cousins. My kids would get $2 but when another nephew found out, his response was "Wow, your tooth fairy is cheap, you are suppose to get $6 since you are 6 years old. I get $6 for a tooth." I felt horrible so I upped the amount. The Tooth<br /> Fairy would give her another $20 to spend anyway she likes if<br /> she brushes her teeth every day after lunch for a month. She<br /> did, and 30 days later Caroline found $20 under her pillow.<br /> Ries, a 39-year-old lawyer and owner of Ries Law Group in<br /> Santa Monica, Calif., says that $120 is a lot to give, but she<br /> believes that she is teaching her daughter that education and<br /> taking care of your teeth is important.
