Heh- I scrolled down and every university I ever attended was in the top 100! That was surprising to be sure.

Ooo- thanks for the list!
I work at #79 so I hope to still be here (or somewhere similar) and we can take advantage of tuition remission.
But then he is def going to (hopefully) take advantage of study abroad! I spent a full academic year in France and it was the best decision ever.

@sunny: I'm also not so sure I agree with the ranking. My study abroad program was through the King's College and while I enjoyed it I would definitely not rank it above studying at the London School of Economics!

I went to a US school in the top 25. Study abroad is great too, but the US represents very well in the top 25.

Yay! My alma mater's in the top 25!

I would encourage study abroad/exchange, but would prefer if she stayed in Canada for undergrad.....it's a lot more affordable!

I got my undergrad degree from a foreign school (on this list!) and would most likely encourage LO if that is what he desired. I guess it would depend on what field he is interested in. Although I would not change my experience, I do believe that in the field I got my degree I would have been better off finding a good job after graduation if I had stayed in the U.S.

I wouldn't DISCOURAGE studying abroad, but I probably won't be the one to bring it up, haha. And if they want to do it, depending on where and how long and how it works with their studies, I probably wouldn't be against it. :)

Yay, my uni is on this list! I would love for my kids to go there. It's in the US and not too far away from home. I wouldn't encourage them to pursue an entire undergraduate degree abroad. I don't think I would be ready to have them go so far. However, I guess my parents let me go pretty far so we'll see! Lol.

first NZ school on that list... number 94. winning {sarcasm font}.

my university was number 265 on that list -.-

DH is pretty set on our kids attending his university, but we'll see what happens when they're old enough to decide themselves! not ruling anything out!!

The university where I spent my junior year is in the top 35, woohoo! The college I actually went to/graduated from is far too small to ever make lists like this, though it does consistently appear on various "top liberal arts colleges" lists.

I LOVED my year abroad and will highly encourage our kids to spend time studying outside the US, either in DH's native country if they want or elsewhere if that appeals to them.

I don't trust this organization's ranking criteria! There was another list that was program specific and it seemed totally wrong to me.

I think spending a semester abroad would be ok but I would miss her! I wouldn't encourage her to do her degree in a foreign university though.
