I'm in NY now and am always disappointed when I go to the famous places, but lots of random neighborhood spots make up for it. Best meal I've ever had was probably in Chicago. So I agree with top 3! I can't believe Vegas didn't make the top 10, and that LA wasn't higher. LA probably has the most buzzy restaurant scene in the country right now, and Vegas is like a who's who of top chefs from around the world, plus a TON of great ethnic food off-Strip.</p> <p>I've been to 10 of the top 12 and have lived in both Boston and San Francisco. Philly does not deserve to be top 10, IMO, and I'm not sure about Seattle either. And although New Orleans is my absolute favorite place to travel in the US, I don't think it deserves the top spot - there's just not enough variety.
