Then I'll be home for June &amp; July, and my ILs are moving here to retire and provide "grandmacare" in late July. </p> <p>Since I only need childcare for such a short period of time, I've mainly been planning to ask one or two of my SAHM friends to take care of baby for that time (for good money, obviously). I "put it out there" in my social groups and I have one SAHM that's interested and one interested grandma that's done in-home daycare for 35 years. However, due to various drawbacks, I'm not 100% on board with either of these options and I am considering some VERY local daycares - as in, 5 minutes away from home/work, and that's my limit. </p> <p>Anyways, I'm visiting 3 daycares soon, and I am overwhelmed by the "daycare interview" threads I see posted here. Since it's only for 7-8 weeks, my main concern is just safety, basic interaction, and cost. I don't want to go in with a list of 30 questions/concerns to talk about. </p> <p>If you were in my shoes, what would be the top 3-5 things you'd want to discuss or see? </p>
