Yep, from Massachusetts and named DS William. It's a family name and our last name is really unusual so we don't mind.

I have a facebook "friend" (dude from high school) who has a girl named Emma. My sister thought about naming her baby due in December Mason, but I think they are going for Miles instead. I'm Ohio, btw. But that is the extent of my Mason and Emma knowledge.

@lawbee11: I think it maybe just brought more "awareness" to the name. I hadn't heard of it too much, but then heard it on the show (yes i watch it.. lol!). But yeah, I cant imagine wanting to name my baby something because a celebrity did.. especially a Kardashian!

@highwire: I agree!

On a sidenote, I noticed that Mason is #1 in so many states. I know it's been speculated that Mason shot up because of Kourtney Kardashian. Do y'all think that's true or is it just coincidence? I could understand if you already liked that name then she just happened to use it, but I can't imagine being like "Oh, Kourtney Kardashian used it so now I am too!"

@photojane: I think William is popular because people are naming their kids the full name and then calling him nicknames like Liam, which seems to be pretty popular right now.

Emma and William are the popular ones for NC. I don't know any babies named this but I do know a baby with one of the most popular girl names - Sophia (Sophie).
