Babies delivered within about 20 minutes of arriving at the hospital via emerg c-section, and great care after. The babies were transferred to St Joes after, and they were also very, very happy with the NICU care there. I had a horrible experience. i was left in triage for two hours with broken waters then told to walk around for two hours til room was ready... then they gave it away while i was walking around like they told me to! they then left me sitting in triage on a chair (couldn't give me an empty triage bed in case someone needed it!) til 4a when we gave up and went home. we got almost home and i said to my DH drive me to Southlake (my home hospital). I went through the Family Health Team at Toronto Western General, it's a prenatal team made up of some of their family doctors. It's a teaching hospital but I had a great experience with them, very personal care. I'd prefer a hospital downtown or somewhere west of the city as DH and I both work downtown and live in Etobicoke. Initially I considered Mount Sinai but all of their OBs are fully booked around my EDD. Would love to hear and feedback from you ladies on your experiences with Toronto hospitals! Thanks :) </p>
