@Mrswonderwoman: what is a zipadee zip? never heard of that before! hmm i wonder if it is night terrors....i know that my LO sometimes lets our this awful sounding cry, but her eyes are still closed and then she conks back out but it worries me! have you started solids? i know that when we started and gave them to her at dinner, her sleep was a lot more disrupted because i think she was getting used to the food.

He doesn't usually cry. He sometimes will if he wants his paci, but if he falls asleep nursing, he's usually fine.

Last night was better, though I was up every 2 hours still. But he wasn't as squirmy.

But something scary happened - I think he had a night terror! After nursing him to sleep, he was on his side, totally out cold, and then his breathing sorta turned to a moan, then all out wailing. It was different then his usual cry at night, I've never heard him like that. He started getting almost hysterical, so I picked him up to hold him and just snuggled and shushed him. He eventually stopped about a minute later, and was right back asleep. SO bizarre!

We have a zipadee zip that just got here today. Trying it for naps, and I plan to try it tonight as well. I'm hoping it might help some.

Hmmm...does he wake up crying or does he just toss and turn but go back to sleep on his own? I know my lo sometimes won't go back to sleep right away after her motn feeding but just rolls around for an hour and eventually falls back asleep.

Last night was even worse...he tossed and turned for at least 4 hours. I seriously have no idea how that is restful sleep!

Eh... Sometimes he takes 3, other times four. Longest is 90 mins, and shortest is 40. He used to nap 2-3 hrs! He has trouble with the sleep transition at 40 mins for naps. :-(

My little guy has been really struggling with sleep, and I'm not sure what the cause is. He's almost 5 1/2 months, and was a relatively decent sleeper until about 12 weeks, then we traveled for a month and at 4 months he started waking more at night. Ewe still haven't really recovered from that.

I thought maybe things were getting better, but now it's worse. LO sleeps on his tummy and just tosses and turns FOREVER after nursing at night. It can take him an hour to settle down sometimes. He's trying to roll on occasion at night, which I think frustrates him too.

During the day, he is SUPER fussy. I maybe get ten happy minutes, and then it's an hour of fussing and whiney cry. I try everything I can think of, but man, it's hard sometimes! Being outside seems to help, or being carried around, but I can only do that so much.

Any ideas as to what might be impacting his sleep? I don't think he's teething (no nubs) but I suppose things can be on the move. He is still working on mastering rolling, and he's also working one it thing....so maybe it's developmental?

Or do I just have a suddenly fussy baby....please tell me this will pass! I'm exhausted from the past few days!
