You could also see if a local high school, middle school, art center mught be interested in putchasing the enlarger and timer. I know when our HS program was getting up and running they would have been thrilled to be offered something like this. Not for free of course, but just a thought!

Actually, many pro photographers, especially in the wedding industry, shoot film. It's kind of being revived and there's a whole organization called FIND (film is not dead). Many of the most famous photogs are currently using film. I have no idea the types of equipment they are currently going for, or anything about the quality of the enlarger you have, but it might be worth something to someone!

@Mae: thank you so much again! I think I'll just list everything as photography equipment and then include pictures. Thank you! :)

@sotofamilia: It's a timer. It probably plugs right into the enlarger. You set the exposure time and hit the button and it turns on the light just for x number of seconds.

I'd list it as photography equipment - enlarger. And then take a few pics of it to include. I don't really know anything about brands or anything so I really have no clue what its worth to be honest. I bought an enlarger together with some other equipment (trays and chemicals and whatnot) off my dad's friend for like $150 when I was 16 so I never had to research any of that. And that was before digital photography was really a *thing*.

The nice thing is that for someone who does want to do it at home, the enlarger is the biggest and most expensive piece of the puzzle. All they need other than that to do their own b/w photos is 3 trays, 2 types of chemicals (which you can buy pretty cheaply online now I'd imagine) and some tongs. And a light proof room of course. :) So it's not really a big investment for people if they have the space and desire!

@Mae: oh wow, thanks for explaining, that sounds cool!

I'm so clueless about photography equipment - how would you list it, like what would you put in the subject line?

Yep! It looks like it is an enlarger. You put film up top and use it to expose the photo paper below to make (real, non-digital) photos! I used to have a dark room but gave it up when my parents moved and I switched to digital. Most people shoot digital now although I'm sure some hobby photogs would still love to DIY a darkroom in their basement just for the fun of it! I might list it on craigslist but I don't know how much you could get for it. Best guess without research is maybe ask $50? or $75 maybe and be willing to negotiate a bit?

So this piece of equipment was in our laundry room when we moved into our house last year. Does anybody know what it is and if it's worth re-selling?
