The storyline is really intense... I thought the book was well written but it definitely made me uncomfortable! It is insane. It is about a 13 year old girl trying to come into her sexual identity with just about every horrible role model around (mixed messages dad, mother who blames the girl for attracting her weirdo step father to her, molester neighbor, you name it)</p> <p>I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to finish it tonight! It has a heck of a cast as well!</p> <p>ETA: Written and directed by Alan Ball who did American Beauty, True Blood, Six Feet Under, etc. So it is pretty dark. </p>
