We have Britax Boulevards and had to FF at 3 years for my tiny LO in the 10th % for height. I think we have the regular model, not click tight but just wanted to mention since your LO is much bigger.
We also have 2 Toyotas and just couldn't get the center seat belt install on either of them. Not sure how the Yards is but you might want a certified tech to help with the installation if the seat you buy doesn't fit behind the driver.

Latch has lower weight limits then seat belts. I have a big guy and an easy seat belt install was a must for us because he will soon be too heavy for latch. Just another thing to think about...

I have a Honda Fit and just switched from the Chicco Key Fit to the Graco extend2fit. Even on a fairly reclined setting (T doesn't sleep well when his head tips forward) there's SO much more room front to back. Also he stays so much cooler in it. The fabric is mesh and plus it's just roomier. And you can rear face for a very long time.

We have a 2012 jetta sports wagon which to my knowledge the interior is really a golf (hence the renamed one @erinbaderin: referred to). We just got a boulevard click tight and installed it in the middle seat (love it by the way, the seatbelt install is so easy). I am short so no problems whatsoever but my husband is 5'"10 and can also fit in the drivers seat.

@erinbaderin: Thanks for the input! That's what I was worried about... the VW Golf is my ILs car, and they will be caring for him during the day. They are both very tall, 5'8" - 5'11".

@Mrs. Champagne: LO is rear-facing in the Chicco Keyfit currently behind the drivers seat in the Yaris, even with my 6ft husband driving. So I guess it has more room than the matrix. I've been meaning to learn about using the seatbelt LATCH so LO can go in the middle. We rarely drive in the summer.

I have a VW Golf wagon, and I had to turn the car seat (a Peg Perego) forward facing when we moved it behind the driver's seat. I'm 5'8" with long legs, and I couldn't get them under the steering wheel with him rear facing.

I have a Toyota Matrix and rear facing only allow one person to sit in the front. I'm not talk but I can't even Fit in the passenger seat if DS is behind me RF. Needless to say we don't use it as our family car! The matrix has bad reviews for this, maybe the Yaris is better?

Out of all the seats you listed the Extend2fit will be the most compact front to back and it will rear face 10 pounds longer than all of the others. The graco size4me (and it's clones but not the myride) and the nextfit are also pretty compact. The britax depends on which version you are looking at - clicktight or regular, the clicktights are more compact.

I have an older Graco clone (MyRide 65) in a Nissan Versa hatchback. It's not as tiny as either of your cars, but still small compared to a sedan. It fits really well in our car and H was rear-facing until two. We put her behind the passenger seat with LATCH and I wasn't terribly uncomfortable in the driver's seat (we drove to Florida, which is 15 hours from our house).

Hello! LO will mainly be riding in a 2012 Toyota Yaris & VW Golf (year unknown, most likely 2010-2013). I've narrowed down my choices to the Britax Boulevard or Advocate, the Chicco Nextfit, or the Graco Size4Me or Extend2Fit. I still have to go check them out in stores; so this is just based on my online research.

Any experience with using these seats in these two cars? Are these seats crampy or comfy with these cars? Toyota & VW don't allow center LATCH, so it would either be driver side with LATCH or center with seatbelt installation.

LO is 90th percentile for height and weight and probably will be forever, based on his genes. We'd like to rearface as long as possible.
