Then, I boxed up about 75% of what was left. Right now, she wants to play outside, anyway, so I figure we'll swap outside toys for inside toys when it gets cold again. Her birthday is coming up, and I've already asked everyone to avoid buying more toys. We donated the stuff that LO never showed any interest in and we didn't want to keep for the next baby (mainly stuffed things). For the larger items (swing, exersaucer) we found friends who were or had just had babies and loaned them out. By the time our next LO arrives in September and is old enough to use the item, their LO will have outgrown it. Can you rotate toys every week or two? I usually try to pull out a different toy or two each day to try out. My ds is 10, I thought I was done so I sold everything once he outgrew it. I really need to start posting more!</p> <p>My son is 21 months old and I would say he only plays with 15% of his toys. Yet I feel his toys take up 50% of our house! I always think he will start playing with something else he isn't playing with now - this sometimes happens - sometimes not. </p> <p>So my question is - do I store the toys he doesn't play with, get rid of them (I am planning to have a second down the road) or just leave them out and hope he may like to play with him down the road?</p> <p>What do you do? </p>
