I'm pretty addicted to tracking BFing time! Without it I wouldn't remember how long it has been and which side was last (I only feed one side per session). It also helps when she is cluster feeding so I can make sure to give the same side. I also love to know how many minutes each session is!

I am really bad at tracking diapers and horrid at the sleep - but trying to track sleep better at night and for naps so I can get an idea of a pattern now. I also use it to track her weight and height from dr visits.

I gave it up last week (dd is almost four months). I got so obsessed that I'd go to the bathroom and open the app to add it. I feel so free!

Once she was back at her birth weight at her two week appointment I stopped using it. I was obsessed with her eating and peeing enough those first two weeks since she lost so much weight. Now I feed on demand & change her when she's wet. I didn't really see a need for it & it was just one more thing to keep up with!

LO is almost 3 months and I still track feeding and pees and poops. I could definitely drop the diaper tracking but I feel like I need to for some strange reason. I like to track feedings to remember left vs. right boob and to make sure she's eating enough even though I feed on demand LOL. I've never tracked naps because she's a great napper and sleeper so I've never worried about it. Also, I can kind of estimate based on the feeding times.

I only kept notes for the first month or so. I unfortunately didn't find Baby Connect until he was about 6 months already. I do still use it often (about a year later) when he is sick. It is super helpful for pediatrician appointments when I can't remember how long his fevers have been or the last time he was sick or cut a tooth. When all sleep goes to crap I use it to get us back on a routine again. I use it for big milestones too so I can eventually update the baby book (or I look it up here in my archives, since I usually mention in my posts what is happening).

At 10.5 months, I'm still tracking nursing sessions. It's kind of cool and mind blowing to see that I've nursed for over 22 days since birth! I also occasionally still record poop just to be sure he's regular. I also track milestones and growth.

We "weaned off" of the app at 10-11 months! It was more for our ex-nanny toward the end. It was especially helpful when we were traveling overseas where we need to adjust timezones. I agree with @ladyfingers: that at the end I feel like I was a slave to it and I stopped as well.

I never really tracked. The only reason it was really helpful was because her pedi always wanted to know how often she was eating, in the end though "on-demand" wasn't okay with them & when I actually kept & told them the number they told me to stop feeding so much. Pfft. No thanks! I haven't tracked feedings since.

I do still use it to keep her growth stats though.

If you used an app like Baby Connect, how long did you keep it up?

We have been tracking sleep, feeding, and diapers. I admit that it's fun to look at the data, but I worry that I'm getting too attached to it. He's eating and sleeping on demand at this point (4 weeks), so I wonder if I can just stop using the app. He's gaining weight like a champ.
