It comes with 100 pieces but only 25-30 are actual track pieces and the rest is houses, signs and people. It's really cute and is great quality but I'm debating getting an expansion pack of some sort to make the track a little larger. I think it is pretty compatible with most other wooden sets, but I could be wrong! </p>
