@autumnlove: Best Bottoms. You can use the inserts for absorbency or just use them like panties.

@Weagle: which trainers are you using? I want to send some for naptime at daycare and LO wants nothing to do with anything that doesn't pull-up!

Just because of the layout of our house, we are using trainers. But we're using cloth ones with inserts that are supposed to heighten the sensation of being wet. No disposables. Then to panties ASAP. She's super excited about the Bubble Guppies panties we got to entice her.

Totally opposed. I figured either you've made it to the potty or you haven't, and any kind of in between wasn't helpful.

weird... i just bought some today!

I put them on her at 6 pm and we had two pees in the potty before bedtime! YAY!

they are very boxy, but I only plan on her wearing them around the house.

@locavore_mama: well, it is early..lol. We were pretty hardcore Sunday-Wednesday and it went better than I expected. I think LO (27 minths)was definitely ready...stripping when she wet herself and talking about diapers/wet/poop a lot.

@autumnlove: great job!!! How hardcore have you been?
I'm planning to start next Friday so I will get four straight days with her. They will also help train at daycare so I know they can pick up where I left off as well.

Undies! First poop in potty today...day 5. I hope it is regular!

Some daycare teachers aren't that thrilled and they want us to send pull-ups...the others are fine with undies. Maybe I will buy a few trainers for daycare use only.

@locavore_mama: when it was just for fun or potty learning, they wore diapers. And when we decided it was time to go cold turkey, we only brought training pants, which turned into regular panties pretty quickly...

We didn't. We just put her in undies and luckily, she managed not to pee on the carpet or furniture. She had accidents on our foam mats and on the bathroom floor.

We used training pants, which were like thick under wear.. We also used pull-ups at night for a little while and just out and about before we did the full press potty training. Also, our school had a no pull up policy (or recommendation, really).

For parents that have already successfully potty trained.

Did you use training pants?

I know that there are two school of thoughts. One is that they should be able to feel the pee when they've had an accident.
But my thing is we have carpet in the family room where we hang out most of the time. So I'm afraid to let her run completely bare bottom.

And there is also a bathroom on that level. Versus if we stay upstairs in the main living area we would have to either go upstairs or downstairs for a bathroom.
