My 4 yr old wanted a trampoline for Christmas so bad, but for all the reasons listed above, we wouldn’t buy one. We bought a small bounce house instead to satisfy her want to jump and it’s been great. I would never want one - even if I didn't consider it dangerous to my own kids, I'd about the liability when everyone else wanted to jump on it. Recent guidance is that the repetitive jumping is just not safe for tikes' bones. I can't remember the age, I feel like it is anything younger than 6.
