Unluckily, she just happened to develop a fever on the very first night so that and the next night were battles. But we stuck to our guns and told her that she had to sleep in her new bed, tucked her in, and left the room. We had to go back in a number of times to soothe her, but each time we left again right away. After about half an hour of this, she went right to sleep and has been doing so ever since. It has been a week now. When she wakes up in the morning, she'll stay on her bed and call out for us to come get her. </p> <p>So it's been pretty painless and if she wasn't sick, it would have been even easier, I bet. We prepped her beforehand by taking her to the store to shop for beds and bedding so she had been really excited to get her "big girl bed" and kept asking for it. </p> <p>Just wanted to let you all know about our experience!</p> <p>ETA - DD is 27 months old. </p>
