yes definitely! When he napped he went to bed around 8:30/9. With no nap, he is usually asleep by 6:45/7.

I kind of knew it was time to drop the nap when it was taking my son over an hour to fall asleep. Bedtime remained more or less the same time (by 730).

Yup! For us it did.

DS1 has always been a good napper, so his nap would last 2-3 hours. Then it'd be bedtime (8:30 at the latest) and he wouldn't be able to fall asleep until 10. We got rid of the naps, and now he's asleep with 5 min of hitting the pillow (between 8 and 8:30)

When we have no nap days (so basically every weekend) he goes to bed 1h-1.5h earlier than on a nap day. So on a nap day he falls asleep somewhere between 8:30-8:45pm and on a no nap day he is out by 7-7:30pm at the latest.

For us it did. When she was napping she had a 7pm bedtime, when she stopped napping 7pm became a nightmare, screaming, not listening and it would be nearly 8 before she settled down. Moved bedtime to 6 and now no screaming and minimal whinging.

Did you adjust your child's bedtime when they stopped napping?

E just turned 4 and doesn't nap most days. He lays down, but only sleeps about a third of the time. We've been having a lot of behavioral problems in the evenings, not listening, purposely defying us, shouting, acting crazy. After exhausting other options I threatened him with going to bed early tonight and had to follow through, resulting in him going to bed about 45 min early. He was asleep in 5 minutes and hasn't moved. I'm thinking his bedtime might need to be adjusted now that he doesn't nap?
