He was 7 months. He wailed that first day because who wouldn't? He had been with his mom and dad for all of those months, and now we hand him off to a nice woman and say goodbye! I bawled too... But each day, it has gotten a bit better. We got hit hard with sickness in the first two weeks. Every one of us. So even though it's not cold and flu season - it's still a little germ explosion factory. Wash your hands. And just know it's going to happen. E will adjust, you all will, and you'll settle in to your new normal. It was nice that she was sitting up unassisted so she could play with the other babies. It was also before separation/stranger anxiety. She's 11 months now and has never once cried at drop off. She actually starts smiling and clapping when DH carries her into the building. LO is six months old and I think the socialization will be good but otherwise I am f-r-e-a-k-I-n-g out about all these major changes and worried about how E will adjust to not being home everyday. </p>
