@peachykeen: oh, I never even thought about those! Will anyone give me the side-eye for letting my 5-year-old drink from a wine tumbler? 😆 Pretty colors are good, DD is girly and also picky.

If you're not concerned about it being spill-proof, I like the U-Konserve stainless steel wine tumblers for that purpose. They are 8 oz and keep drinks warm longer but not as warm as my Contigos. I've found that it isn't too hot to hold unless the drink is scalding to begin with. Plus it comes in pretty colors

@jennlin821: yeah, I saw those but I was concerned about the insulated stainless steel keeping the drink too hot for DD. Glad to hear that hasn’t been a big issue for @catgirl!

You should search for espresso travel mugs. I think Kleen Kanteen has a few, or yeti.
But if you are looking for spill proof, I don't think those are.

We have this one. It's not perfect - if the drink is way too hot when it goes in then the outside of the cup can get really hot. But we use it a fair amount anyway.

Does anyone have a favorite reusable hot drinks cup/travel mug for kids? My DD enjoys getting a steamer at our local bakery after her dance class but I’m really trying to cut down on our waste so I’d like to get her a cup she can reuse. Most travel mugs are huge, there only seem to be a few 8-oz ones out there and a lot of them are glass, which makes me nervous. I also don’t want a super well insulated one because she isn’t patient about waiting for her drink to cool (though they don’t make the kids’ steamers that hot anyway). The best option I have found is the original KeepCup, which is fun because you can design your own color scheme, but I wonder if there is a better option out there.
