@codeitall: Yup. The one and only time my OCD reading of reviews before purchasing paid off - somebody else suggested not snapping on the crotch piece. I bet you could get it off with some power tools!

@JenGirl: Ah! If only I'd known that before I put that stupid piece on.... Maybe I can figure out how to remove it. You're quite right though, that's my only real complaint about that chair.

We won it in a raffle and it has been amazing. Height adjustable, can be secured to any chair an adult can sit in, Folds down small and completely wipeable. Tray is totally optional.

Plus, the seat is fairly small, so my 21 mo loves to climb up the kitchen chair and then sit in the booster without assistance.

ETA: I like that the tray tucks into the bottom of the chair so you have the option to use it or not.

I bought this one on a whim and we really like it:

We have this one from Chicco and it is awesome! Attaches to almost any chair and folds down super small and light. And it's got a tray! The big tip I give is that it comes with a big plastic piece that attaches to the tray and goes between baby's legs - don't attach that piece! Just throw it out. There's a crotch strap, so you don't really need it, and if you attach it, you can't take it off and it won't fold down as small.

are you driving or flying? when i drive to visit family, i used to pack up my IKEA antilop. the legs come out easy, the seat is small, so it is easy to pack in the car. my mom ended up buying one to keep at her place, otherwise i would still bring it. it would be too bulky to fly with though.

Love our inglesina. It has travelled all over. It also has a hidden travel cover I didn't discover until DD was 11 months old.
Also we use it as our primary high chair now; it lives on our island (we also have a full sized high chair)

My best friend bought my DS one for her wedding back in March since he was the only "baby" there. We bring it with us to the coffee shop we frequent a lot and we flew with it on our last vacation. We like it pretty well. (He's almost 22 mo & 24lbs)

Phil & Teds lobster, but make sure the homes you're staying in have a table or counter it can be used on. I brought ours the whole way to grand Cayman once (stayed in a condo rental) to find out when I got there that the tables had a double lip which you're not supposed to use it with (can't get as good of a grip). That was disappointing.

We started using a booster seat (with straps, and straps to chair) for travel at 13 months. She did really well and it's something I knew we would be able to get years of use out of. We got the Prince Lionheart one and have been using it for a year now: https://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-BoosterPOD-Sierra-Brown/dp/B005ZBHXP4
