@Ginabean3: I bought it for my DS to use but never used it - DD came along and still never used it. DD is 4 and we just used it! LOL

We were on the highway and could not find a place to stop and she had to go so I pulled into a parking lot and pulled it out - she sat on it and went - life saver!!!!

We have it and used it a lot in the potty training days! It was so nice to have it in our trunk ready to use anytime. We also use it a lot on road trips. My daughter can just use it in the car and we don't have to worry about gross public restrooms for her! I've never used it on real toilets though - we would just build a "nest" with toilet paper and then I'd hold my daughter up. Even with the portable toilet seats to place on top, I didn't want my daughter accidentally touching the actual toilet.

We have one and love it--use it at least once a day as a free standing potty!

Love and use it all the time. Keep it in the back of our car. DD loves to sit in the back and use it. She tells me to close the door while she goes.

we use this one and i like it because it gets them used to a regular toilet, but it folds up super duper small.

we had the kalencom one but never used it thru both kids.

We potty trained front before my son turned two and he just used public potties (sitting) starting at two weeks into training. It's definitely not necessary for potty training. We drive 30-60 minutes at a time multiple times a week and have never had to stop and use a potty and have not had a car accident either.

We had it. We kept the bags in the car but would forget the seat sometimes. Just the bags themselves were handy to have around. (Which of course can be recreated with just a strong plastic bag and some absorbant paper) Daughter had to go inside the car once - so stressful.

I've been bringing ours everywhere. At 37 weeks pregnant I hate holding LO on big potties while she decides if she is going to go. I can just set this up and sit her on it.

@regberadaisy: that's what I was thinking of! And just to have in the car if we go somewhere with hard to access toilets (beach, certain parks, etc).

@autumnlove: we already have the bjorn potty at home. I'm just trying to buy everything I could possibly need so when we start I'm all set. And...I may also be trying to buy some time in starting....lol...

Yes we use it all the time. Mostly to sit on public toilets. We like it a lot. She is out and about with our nanny all day so that is what they use. We also traveled with it, it was super easy.

Has anyone used this before? It works as a travel toilet seat/ring on top of a public potty as well as a free standing travel potty (has legs that you can pop out).

http://www.amazon.com/Kalencom-2-in-1-Potette-Plus-Red/dp/B0016KV73W/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Thoughts? Is there something better for travel?

Trying to gear up and get prepared for potty training.... :meh:
