I have an infant car seat + base and City Mini stroller. We bought the City Mini infant seat converter (the Chicco one) and it served it's purpose. I think a snap & go is about the same price as the converter.

I chose not to get a travel system b/c the City Mini folds up nice and small and its pretty light (~17lbs). The travel systems seem to take up so much room. I also live in the burbs and we use ours quite a bit.

@MaisyMay: I think that's the way I want to go. I don't know why I didn't think of having one in each car lol... smart!

We only used our stroller frame when LO was in her infant seat. We received a full sized stroller as a gift but we only used it once.

We used the "stroller frame" of the B-Ready. When you put the infant car seat in, you don't use the larger stroller seat. So technically the stroller itself is just the frame + car seat but its a MUCH nicer frame than the cheap snap and go.

I have never heard anything good about travel systems, personally...I've heard that they are large, bulky, and very plastic-y. If you're not sure what kind of stroller you want, I would get the carseat and a snap and go for now, and then get a real stroller later on.

The stroller frame seemed way too flimsy for us - we got the Britax b-agile travel system and it folds up really nicely and fits in our Kia Soul no problem.

We have the travel system and a stroller frame. The travel system is nice when going for long walks or being out for an extended period because we can completely cover LO and she'll sleep. In the stroller frame, there's more storage and it's great for shorter jaunts. We store one stroller in each car right now and switch them around as necessary. Also, the stroller frame is only good for as long as LO is in an infant seat, so we bought ours used and will resell it when she outgrows it.

I'm reviewing my registry, and I'm going back and forth between getting a Graco Travel System and just getting a Graco (or similarly priced) car seat + stroller frame. I'm pretty short (5'1") and even though our Jetta has a huuuge trunk I'm worried about stuffing a big stroller in it! But, I know I'll need a bigger stroller when she gets older, so it does save money in the short run. On the other hand, I might want a different kind of stroller in 6 months! Or jut a carrier! Oh, I'm also in the suburbs so I'll be using a stroller (or carrier) quite a bit. I'm so confused! :p

Which did y'all go for, and why?
