Just did this this week and brought it in my carryon in an icepack bag. They had to test it with some light laser contraption, but it was no problem and I was so glad I'd gone to the trouble once I had it home and in the freezer!

I've done that a number of times while traveling. Never had a problem.

I would think that would work - checked bags are kept in the part of the plane that isn't temperature controlled so it is very cold (even in the summer because at 10,000+ feet it's always cold).

I've been pumping after each morning feed to build up a freezer stash and we are currently traveling. I would like to keep this up but I'm not sure how to deal with the milk. We are staying in a hotel (fridge but no freezer) but I can put it in the freezer at my family's house.

Can I put the frozen milk in a soft cooler with an icepack and put it in my checked bag? Or should I just not worry about it this week? Today is our first day here and I didn't pump this morning because I wasn't sure!
