I agree you want something higher in the early days at home- transferring a sleeping baby to a low crib would be really hard. </p> <p>So far we have been able to either take the pnp in the car or borrow/rent one at our location (hotel and rental house both provided one). So it depends where you are traveling. Just something to think about since the nicer ones are 2-3 times more money. You would constantly be leaning over to pick up your LO. Has mesh all the way down the sides (breathable), one side zips open (has a lock) so the kid can play with it too, it meets the carry-on size recommendations for all airlines, transforms into a backpack, so easy to setup and take down...I could go on!! They also just came out with a conversion kit for the Lotus to transform it into a rocking bassinet.
