Thanks for all the good ideas! We didn't have a lot of time last night, so I just went to Target.

I got a package of cookie mix, cookie cutter, Halloween sprinkles, cotton candy, can koozie, package of candy, and candy filled plastic Halloween eggs in a big candy bowl. Total cost was just under $9.

Also, I think it would be really cute if it was called being "bamBOOzled"

I love this tradition! This year we gave pumpkin beer, candy, and Halloween stickers to the neighbors we booed.

THIS IS FABULOUS! How much does it look like people are spending? A cheap fondue set would be nice.. melt all those chocolate treats in :) Or some nice Halloween decor (which you can catch on great sales at this time) that they can keep for years to come.

I love this idea. I tried to get it started on my street last year, but no go. One of our other sites at work does an office version every year, but not my site. We do get people to participate in Jingling around in December though, which is a lot of fun. http://www.beenjingled.com is the sister site that @lovehoneybee mentioned.

My friend received one that was a small plastic cauldron with all the ingredients and recipe to make a Witch's Brew Punch and some candy. That was pretty cute. You could include treats that are an activity or something, like supplies to decorate cupcakes or the makings of a caramel apple dipping bar.

Seriously, a bottle of wine?? SO jealous of that!

We were booed (there's a website: http://www.beenbooed.com that you can print out the flyers/get ideas). We got a little treat bag with 8 pieces of candy in it, and we just did the same thing with candy.

Fun! :)

Do you have a "specialty?" Something you're known for making?

What about something like chex mix, or popcorn in clear gloves (with candy corn as the fingernails)?

This is so much fun!

If th family has kids I would include some fun treats for them: mandarian oranges with marker with faces, string cheese ghosts, mummy juice boxes, ect.

Other ideas: popcorn balls, carmel apples, homemade chex mix, candy mix/fall mix (pretzels, candy corn, honey roasted nuts, ect.) Throw in a fall scented candle, small decor item,

We just got such a cute surprise on our doorstep last night. Our neighborhood is doing the "ghosting" game.

Now it's our turn and I was hoping someone could suggest some cute ideas for treats to include.

We actually got ghosted twice last night. In one we got lots of candy and decorated sugar cookies, in the other we got a bottle of wine, holiday dish towel, and box of candy corn.

Does anyone have good ideas for unique treats? Have you ever played this game?

ETA: Tried to add a picture, but it must be too big.
We got a picture of a cartoon ghost with the instructions:
"You've Been Ghosted!"
- Now it's your turn to "ghost" two other people in your neighborhood.
- Hang the ghost on your front door so that everyone can see that you have been ghosted and will not ghost you again. This will also let you know who you can ghost.
- Fill 2 bags with goodies. Copy this letter and the ghost twice. Include treats, letter, and ghost in your bag of goodies for the neighbors that you choose.
- After dark, "ghost" 2 of your neighbors. Do not let that person that you are "ghosting" see you, for it adds to the fun of it all. Place the treat bag on the doorstop, ring the doorbell and run!
- It will be fun to see how many ghosts will appear in our neighborhood by Halloween.
- Please keep it safe and enjoy!
